What a disappointment and an embarrassment. Bishop D'Arcy is either unwilling or unable to prevent the most pro-death president in history from speaking at, and receiving an honorary degree from, a 'supposed to be Catholic' University. I do appreciate his boycott, but I find it frustrating that Fr. Jenkins is allowed to offend so many Catholics.
Bishop John M. D'Arcy has issued a statement saying that he won't be attending Notre Dame's commencement exercises, which will feature President Obama as the keynote speaker and honor him with a doctor of laws degree.
