As a pro-lifer, I am really disappointed with Michael. This reminds me of Rudy Giuliani. Do you remember how long he claimed to be pro-life and to hate abortion before he finally admitted being pro-abort? Then, his campaign was finished. Is Michael another Rudy? I think it's only a matter of time before we find out. The misstep is the latest Steele gaffe that has some calling for his resignation.
Steele has taken a pro-life position in the past and has been endorsed by pro-life groups for his various political races -- including running for the U.S. Senate in Maryland.
However, in an interview with GQ, Steele said he thought women have, according to the interviewer, a "right to choose abortion."
"Yeah. I mean, again, I think that’s an individual choice," he said. "Yeah. Absolutely."

Disappointing to say the least. I am not for him resigning unless it becomes an issue of changing the plank, but this is one reason I preferred Chip Saltsmann and Kenneth Blackwell over Steele.
