Dare we say it publicly?

Evey Sunday morning, the local radio station, the one I usually listen to, has a program named Cornerstone, where they play a couple of hours of Christian music. This morning on the way to Church they asked listeners to send in information about their vacation bible school, so they could create a page on their website for all parents as a resource to find a vacation bible school for their kids. As I thought about it, I was kind of surprised that they were being so public about "bible school". Then I was very disappointed in myself for thinking like that. And it raised a couple of questions: Is that the way in which we've been conditioned to think by this secular society? that we dare not mention or discuss our faith publicly? I am ashamed of how I was thinking. Would I deny Jesus like Peter? It was especially meaningful that I had these thoughts on the feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ, which he gave up for us. Shouldn't we be willing to do the same for Jesus? I resolve that I will NOT be afraid to speak my faith publicly. I will spread it anywhere I can, to anyone I can, as often as I can. Thanks be to God for this little experience on Corpus Christi!
