The libs don't want to admit it, but abstinence does work; but they'd rather encourage teens to be sexually active as young as possible.The U.S. House of Representatives Friday voted to eliminate $99 million in grant funds that would have bolstered abstinence education in the U.S. The House's decision to cut the funds and to approve a new grant towards contraceptive-promoting sex education had been sought by President Obama in his budget recommendations earlier this year.
House lawmakers voted 264-153 to approve the annual health and education spending bill that cut funding for Community-Based Abstinence Education. Also according to the Obama recommendations, Congress in late June chose not to renew the smaller abstinence-education funding initiative known as Title V.
Instead, the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education and Labor money will be directed to a new $114 million initiative to promote contraceptives and explicit sex education.

Abortions will increase over 30 percent under his "plan." Thats a whole lot of payola. The libs will also be the first to gripe and cy foul when they are denied or rationed care. So much for his hope and change. Yes, we cant.
Abortions will decrease with better access to contraception and better education of reproductive issues. Abortion rates are lower in countries with strong public health care systems.
Suggesting otherwise is a lie a good Catholic should not indulge in.
A "devout Catholic" should not be promoting contraception.
