I love Father Kubicki, but I respectfully disagree, Columbus was a great man, chosen by God, via the Catholic monarchs of Spain to bring light and progress to the New World...
Were there problems and excesses, of course...but to think the local Indian populations which practised slavery, human sacrifice, rape as an instrument of war were some peace loving Kumbaya types is an utter and complete canard, counter historical.
