Caritas Intl is run by Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez from Honduras, who won a couple of votes at the conclave in '05, he is my niece's great uncle.
He is a staunch anti communist, as well and has been treatened by the forces of Zelaya and Chavez/Castro in Honduras.
As for Diaz, are you cognizant of his pro liberation theological leanings???
Oh yeah. I posted about him when he was first nominated, and a couple of times since.
