At first I thought the father would be right in saying he did what was in the best interest for the little girl by having her baptized. But in reality it was wrong.
He had his daughter baptized into the Catholic Church knowing that she would not be raised Catholic.
Isn't that wrong? Now that the child is Catholic but wont be raised Catholic what happens to her soul?
Catholic demonologists and exorcists often say how important the sacraments are in protection from evil, and even hypothesize that the lack of receiving the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Baptism is the reason so many in this world are troubled. The fact that this girl has been baptized does nothing to harm her soul, but protects it from further harm.
I would think that because of her baptism, the Holy Spirit will guide her to make the right choices in life, and maybe one day she will return to her Catholic roots. Meanwhile, I think that the Lord understands why she doesn't go to Mass.
