I have never heard Voris teach anything contrary to Catholic teachings, but Archbishop Vigneron is also a good Bishop. I'm not privy to all the details of this case beyond what has been published, but I stand with the Archbishop.
Real Catholic TV will change its name to ChurchMilitant.TV after the Archdiocese of Detroit asked the faithful programmers to stop describing itself as Catholic.
The network hosts the popular program “The Vortex” with Michael Voris. Although the archdiocese has not taken similar action against liberal or dissenting institutions, Voris said the church contacted him and refused to meet to discuss the matter.
Instead, the archdiocese issued a press release last December that the host and his network are not “authorized to use the word ‘Catholic’ to identify or promote their public activities.”

When the archdiocese asked Michael several years ago to change the name "catholictelevision.org", which he owned, he promptly did so, moving all content over to "theonetruefaith.tv."
He informed the archdiocese, however, that he could do nothing about the domain name "RealCatholicTV.com" because it was owned by another gentleman in Indiana. The archdiocese acknowledged this fact.
Many months passed, and suddenly the archdiocese issued the press release last December claiming it did not consider him "authorized" to use the RealCatholicTV.com domain name. Michael found out about it the same way everyone else did: via blogs. The press release cast his apostolate in a very bad light, and made it seem as if he were disobedient, when in fact he was completely obedient, and had no control over the domain name "RCTV".
He has made 7 requests to meet with the archbishop, and he's been met with deafening silence.
He has followed all protocols to acquire approval for his apostolate; the archdiocese has never complained about any of the content of any of his videos.
No one is blaming the archbishop here. It remains a fact, however, that certain people in the chancery staff have been trying to destroy his apostolate from day one.
