Well, if they take care of it (the car company), I suppose. But it isn't greener. Having made it a goodly part of the way through engineering, electrical, before health pulled me, I learned just how bad these are. What a gasoline engine uses in fuel, and dumps into the atmosphere, is nothing compared to the coal or other things burned to create the electricity these cars use. It is only that the end user doesn't see the huge difference or they would never buy such a vehicle.
Beyond that, the technology is... iffy at best. I am sure they will make sure there is no fire while it is plugged in, and only use it very short distances, in nearly laboratory conditions. I note the large roomy interior, not common to these vehicles. I am guessing they had to modify everything about the vehicle. Basically, these vehicles aren't safe to drive. In an accident with another vehicle or even a fence post, they lose hard, but the passengers and driver lose even worse.
I hate to say it, but this is pure gimmick. Something about wool, and sheeps' eyes, and such. Just... so you know. (Uhrm, though I am definitely not a greeny, I DO look for better tech, ideas, components, and such. I am an optimizer by my nature, which is what greens say they are... for the record.)
